Terms of Service
Last updated: September 24, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Legwrk ("we," "us," or "the Service") when you use the Service. They're written to be read, not skimmed past. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What the Service Is
Legwrk helps freelancers, agencies, and creators find local businesses whose websites or online presence could be improved, and turn each one into a pitch: scan results, a recommended project, a build brief, outreach drafts, and an optional public project page you can share.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- Give us accurate account information and keep your password private. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- One person per account. Don't share a login or create extra accounts to get more free scans.
- If you think someone else has accessed your account, tell us straight away.
3. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Free — no card required. Includes a small monthly scan allowance.
- Pro and Growth — subscriptions billed monthly or yearly, as you choose at checkout. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Settings. After you cancel you won't be charged again, and your account moves back to the Free plan when the subscription ends. On yearly billing your monthly scan allowance still resets every month.
- Enterprise — agreed with us directly; the terms of that agreement apply alongside these.
- Lifetime — no longer sold. If you bought it, it's a one-time payment, not a subscription, and gives you the Lifetime plan for as long as we operate the Service.
Current prices and allowances are shown on the pricing page. If we change the price of a plan, we'll tell you before it affects your next renewal.
Refunds. If you're unhappy with a charge, email us within 14 days of it and we'll look at it fairly. We generally refund a first charge when the Service has been little used. Refunds after 14 days, or for accounts closed for breaking these terms, are at our discretion. Nothing here limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
4. Scan Credits and Fair Use
- Each plan includes a number of scans per month. Unused scans don't roll over to the next month.
- Scans rely on paid third-party data, so please use them for real prospecting. Don't automate the Service beyond the tools we provide (such as the Claude connector), or use it in a way that puts unusual load on it.
- We may apply reasonable limits, or pause an account, to stop abuse or protect the Service for everyone.
5. Acceptable Use
You'll use the Service to contact real businesses, so how you contact them matters. You agree that you will:
- Follow the anti-spam, marketing, and privacy laws that apply to you and to the businesses you contact — for example CAN-SPAM in the US, GDPR and PECR in the UK and EU, and the TCPA for calls and texts in the US. That includes identifying yourself honestly and honouring opt-out requests.
- Not send spam or bulk unsolicited messages, and not harass, threaten, or repeatedly contact anyone who has asked you to stop.
- Not misrepresent findings — for example, presenting an automated estimate as a guaranteed fact, claiming a business has been hacked or penalised when it hasn't, or implying you work for Google or any other company.
- Not scrape, copy in bulk, or resell data from the Service, or use it to build a competing product or database.
- Not try to break, overload, or get around the security or limits of the Service, or access other users' data.
- Not use the Service for anything illegal.
6. Scores and Findings Are Estimates
Opportunity and Ease scores, price estimates, and findings (such as load speed, mobile issues, or missing booking tools) are produced automatically from public data at the time of the scan. They can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong — a site may have changed, or a check may have misread it.
Check the details yourself before you pitch a business or quote a price. We don't guarantee that any business will hire you or that any estimate is accurate.
7. AI-Generated Content
Build recommendations, briefs, outreach drafts, and pitch copy are generated by AI. They're a starting point, not finished work: they can contain mistakes or statements that don't fit the business. Read and edit everything before you send or publish it. You're responsible for what you send.
8. Public Project Pages
- When you publish a project or creator page, anyone with the link can see it, including the business it's about.
- You're responsible for what you publish. Keep it accurate, fair, and respectful.
- We may remove or unpublish any page that breaks these terms, or that a business reasonably asks us to take down.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties, including Google (business listings and website speed data), Stripe (payments), Supabase (hosting and sign-in), and Anthropic (AI-generated content). If you connect the Service to Claude using our connector, your use of Claude is also covered by Anthropic's own terms. We're not responsible for outages or changes in these services, though we'll do our best to work around them. See the Privacy Policy for what data each one receives.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service itself — its software, design, and branding — belongs to us. You keep ownership of what you bring to it, such as your profile details and your edits. Content the Service generates for you (briefs, outreach, pitch copy) is yours to use for your own business. You give us permission to store and display your content as needed to run the Service, including showing pages you choose to publish.
11. Ending Your Account
You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or hasn't paid, and we'll tell you why where we reasonably can. If we ever shut the Service down, we'll give reasonable notice.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will win you clients.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as lost profits, lost clients, or lost data — and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
13. Changes to These Terms
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, let you know by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
